This is the first of our weekly kura pānui.There is a lot of information so please take the time to read carefully.

Kura will open on Rātū 27th Kohitatea at 9am.
A pōwhiri will be held at 9:30 to welcome all our whānau who have had their enrolments confirmed.
We ask that all tamariki arrive at kura at the correct time.
Tau 7-10
To help with the transitioning of our Tau 7 & 8, the kura management have made the decision to trial having a Year 7-10 programme.This means that the Tau 7 & 8 will move to the Wharekura and have a specifically designed programme.Tau 9-10 will also have their own programme.
This progress of this programme will be closely monitored and reviewed before the end of Term 1 to ensure not just the learning needs but also the social needs of our tamariki are been met.
A Wharekura whānau hui has been called and it is expected for all whānau of tamariki Tau 7-13 to attend.The hui is to be held on Rāapa 28th Kohitatea at 5pm.
More information will be shared with the whānau on the programmes etc at this hui.
This hui will also discuss the expectations of all tauira and whānau for 2026 with specific foci on :

Just navigate towards the kākahu kura section.
Black sandals and or black shoes with black socks.
Gumboots and crocs are not permitted at all.These will be confiscated immediately should tamariki wear these to kura.
Cellphones
Please be aware of the kura’s policy on phones.If bringing a phone to kura it must be handed in at the tari and can be picked up after 3pm.
Ensure your tamariki are also aware of the consequences if they are caught with their phones in class.Return of the phone as per policy is at the discretion of the Tumuaki.
Stationary
Kaiako will be sending out stationary lists which will allow whānau to then go and purchase.Please purchase the specific named items.
We expect tamariki to have all their stationary by the start of Week 3.
No stationary has a huge impact on their learning.
Swimming
We are very grateful to Kauhoe, a Māori business who provides swimming programme in Te Reo Māori, who have given a 50% discount and therefore allowing our tamariki to participate in an 8 week swimming programme at the cost of $10 per child per session.
A lump sum for the term of $80 can be paid to the tari or alternatively $10 can be paid per child per week.
The programme begins on February 13th.
Board of Trustees Hui
A maramataka Māori of all Board hui dates will be sent out within the next week.
All whānau can attend these Board hui.
The website will also have updates on upcoming events and pānui regarding kura.
